Fullmetal
Alchemist lasted 51 episodes. The anime features action, adventure, science
fantasy, suspense and comedy.
The story revolves around two brothers, Edward
and Alphonse, who used the prohibited human transmutation by trying to revive
their dead mother. However, alchemy operates on the theory of equivalent trade. Ed
lost an arm and a leg, while his brother lost his entire body, and only
survived because Ed affixed his soul to a suit of armor. Now they travel around
the world in search of a Philosopher's stone, the only thing that can restore
their bodies.
